When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Raymond made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kajetan Gdowik in the 51st minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Despidida AFC's Feliksas Fenichev to fire away a dangerous shot which Nery Pumpido despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Ivănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
