Torsten Raimann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Jahns in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Ephraim Pott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Raimann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torsten Raimann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ephraim Pott, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. But to his dismay, Torsten Jahns quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 47 minutes into the game, Matthias Daniel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Torsten Raimann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Weser-Kicker were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ephraim Pott made the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Angelo Munz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 55 minutes into the game, Weser-Kicker's Torsten Jahns nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torsten Raimann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 58th match minute, SC West was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Neef to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Angelo Munz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Torsten Raimann, 0-7. 71 minutes into the game, Vicco Pickart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC West's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Weser-Kicker the free kick. After 71 played minutes SC West got a freekick which was hit by Vicco Pickart. Angelo Munz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Torsten Raimann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wolfgang Schockenhoff during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79thth minute of the game Torsten Jahns who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC West's Torsten Raimann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Weser-Kicker's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
