After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Nguyễn Liem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nguyễn Liem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wastl Petershagen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Huynh Duc, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The throw-in from Nguyễn Teo in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Weser-Kicker's Ed Holzner. Weser-Kicker's Wastl Petershagen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Liem in the 15th minute of play. Matthias Daniel kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hồ Tho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wastl Petershagen was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Trần Khoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wastl Petershagen having to make a save. The supporters of Dong Xoai booed when Weser-Kicker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Winkelsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wastl Petershagen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hồ Tho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Liem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Weser-Kicker's Michael Rauh got a free kick in the 51st minute. Wastl Petershagen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Khoi's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dong Xoai's zone, Angelo Munz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Khoi came out of the goal and Angelo Munz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Weser-Kicker's Wastl Petershagen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Khoi in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Nguyễn Liem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wastl Petershagen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Weser-Kicker's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Khoi came free, but Wastl Petershagen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Wastl Petershagen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Dong Xoai defense, Angelo Munz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trần Khoi. The Dong Xoai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trần Khoi should have stopped the shot. If Angelo Munz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Hồ Tho lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Wastl Petershagen. Trần Khoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ephraim Pott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wastl Petershagen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Liem in the 96th minute of play. Dong Xoai's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
