In the 9th minute, one of Weser-Kicker:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Weser-Kicker. When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, Mauricio FC's Gaudencio Bermudez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wastl Petershagen. Ephraim Pott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes Weser-Kicker got a freekick which was hit by Ephraim Pott. The supporters of Mauricio FC booed when Weser-Kicker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai Schilling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wastl Petershagen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Bermudez in the 29th minute of play. Conny Glatz made in the 41st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Keven Saager. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ephraim Pott stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the game Basilio Videl made a throw-in which Gaudencio Bermudez played forward. Conny Glatz kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Mauricio FC's Esteban Lano got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Pelayo in the 65th minute of play forced Weser-Kicker's goalkeeper Wastl Petershagen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kai Schilling hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Gaudencio Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Torsten Jahns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72ndth minute of the game Melchor Pelayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Weser-Kicker's Wastl Petershagen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ephraim Pott during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ephraim Pott kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Mauricio FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Basilio Videl hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Gavino Benet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mauricio FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Wastl Petershagen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Bermudez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Torsten Jahns was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Weser-Kicker's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mauricio FC the free kick. After 93 played minutes Weser-Kicker got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Jahns. Weser-Kicker's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
