Rhys Dimmock made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Gaston Laurendi sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute Daron Joseph shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Voicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zamalek FC's Sergey Krasinskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Krasinskiy in the 12th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Ioan Voicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Daron Joseph came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ioan Voicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daron Joseph, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Zamalek FC's Sergey Krasinskiy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ioan Voicu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25th minute, Cristiano Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristiano Correia struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Rhys Dimmock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Temperley. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Daron Joseph came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ioan Voicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daron Joseph in the 30th minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Temperley defense, Daron Joseph kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ioan Voicu. The Club Atlético Temperley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ioan Voicu should have stopped the shot. Ioan Voicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daron Joseph in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Temperley getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Lino Lizbeth hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Krasinskiy came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Laurendi. Ioan Voicu came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Zamalek FC's Mugurel Balaeț. But to his dismay, Mugurel Balaeț quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

52 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Krasinskiy came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Sergey Krasinskiy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ioan Voicu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Laurendi in the 62nd minute of the match. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Laurendi in the 66th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Balaeț. 74 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Daron Joseph came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Laurendi came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Club Atlético Temperley's Artemio Haritzeder seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Artemio Haritzeder the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atlético Temperley protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Artemio Haritzeder had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 88 minutes into the game, one of Club Atlético Temperley:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Zamalek FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
