Ioan Voicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Marinho in the 22nd minute of the match. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Narciso Gombal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hector Fernandez, made in the 34th minute of the game. In the 41stth minute of the game Nilmar Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Gombal came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dani Hernández came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Temperley's Gaston Laurendi. But to his dismay, Gaston Laurendi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Correia was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Temperley's Hector Fernandez got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Club Atlético Temperley booed when Chivos de Punto Fijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Tejeda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Joel Pitin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dani Hernández. The goal made the score 0-2. Cristiano Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dani Hernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Laurendi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Dani Hernández skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Chivos de Punto Fijo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filip Bochinski in the 88th minute. Gaston Laurendi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dani Hernández came out and tried to block the shot, but Gaston Laurendi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atlético Temperley walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
