An unexpectedly hard shot by Reese Otto in the 11th minute of play forced Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Alvaro Pardini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Pallini in the 21st minute of play. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Pallini in the 24th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Biagio Pallini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rhys Dimmock was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. If Zack Grier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niccolo Zaniolo couldn't finish the play. Foot Ball Club di Roma made a substitution. Biagio Scoca replaced Biagio Pallini. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Elin Elin got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Zamalek FC's Leon Posadzki was substituted for Leonardo Lane. Elin Elin kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Biagio Scoca in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhys Dimmock saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alvaro Pardini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reese Otto in the 80th minute of play. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Gianluca Mancini was substituted for Nicola Zalewski. The Zamalek FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Foot Ball Club di Roma to win.
