The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. King Scorpio struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Cosme Fernendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A4p FC Gad. River's Cosme Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Scorpio in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, James Batistuta notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of River's Cosme Fernendo. Cosme Fernendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. King Scorpio took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosme Fernendo. Cosme Fernendo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 15 minutes of play, A4p FC Gad's King Scorpio made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosme Fernendo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute of the game Adolfo Obeko made a throw-in which Wilfried Van Cauwenberg played forward. In the 19th minute King Scorpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Fernendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Obeko kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to River getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ernesto Henrico hit a great ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind River's goalkeeper Cosme Fernendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. King Scorpio took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosme Fernendo. Cosme Fernendo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 33rdth minute of the game King Scorpio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River's Cosme Fernendo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, River's goal looked a bit too open when King Scorpio came free, but Cosme Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosme Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of King Scorpio's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. River's Cosme Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Scorpio in the 39th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling King Scorpio in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Fernendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 minutes of play, A4p FC Gad's King Scorpio made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosme Fernendo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The River players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A4p FC Gad were winning 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell King Scorpio to make the kick off. After some careless play in the River defense, King Scorpio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosme Fernendo. The River fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosme Fernendo should have stopped the shot. In the 56th minute, King Scorpio made a precise shot to the right of Cosme Fernendo. River's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling King Scorpio in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Fernendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute of the match A4p FC Gad got a corner. River's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcin Pachucki ran over to the corner to take the kick. A4p FC Gad's Marcin Pachucki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cosme Fernendo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-9 when King Scorpio sped through River's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cosme Fernendo. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Gică Busuioc replaced James Batistuta. Cosme Fernendo came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p FC Gad's King Scorpio. But to his dismay, King Scorpio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. King Scorpio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosme Fernendo having to make a save. With a little luck, River's Cosme Fernendo got control of the ball when King Scorpio tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers King Scorpio in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosme Fernendo saved River from getting behind. Cosme Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of King Scorpio's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. When A4p FC Gad's King Scorpio in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River's goalie prevented a goal. Cosme Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of King Scorpio's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. A4p FC Gad's King Scorpio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 89th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cosme Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from King Scorpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. River's Cosme Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Scorpio in the 94th minute of play. Dumitru Purcărete who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Cosme Fernendo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded A4p FC Gad left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than River.
