The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Pandapotan Sembiring was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PSP Gondang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibipetuba the free kick. The supporters of Ibipetuba booed when PSP Gondang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pandapotan Sembiring didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Natanael Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the last second Giovanni Severo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rabun Simamora in the 31stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 32 minutes into the match, PSP Gondang's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Aguiar came free, but Hardy Ginting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rabun Simamora in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Severo saved Ibipetuba from getting behind. After 34 played minutes Ibipetuba got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Marquez. The PSP Gondang fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when PSP Gondang's Rabun Simamora looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nelson Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hardy Ginting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rabun Simamora made a kick off. Hardy Ginting was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Aguiar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 86 minute of play.
