Spectators: 483 (Terracing: 363, Seating: 111, VIP seats: 9) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Basarab Panduru got the match started through his kick off. Basarab Panduru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Radu Barbălată tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Manuel Tunaru hit a great ball. The long shot by Moise Bădiță in the 8th minute really tested Lucrețiu Sfetcu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Panduru in the 10th minute of play forced RB Buzău's goalkeeper Radu Barbălată to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RB Buzău's Radu Barbălată played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Perișoară in the 14th minute of play. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Galo van Basten in the 19th minute. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Horia Chioreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Radu Barbălată took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valer Perișoară, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Galo van Basten sent off a good shot on target. Radu Barbălată made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Chioreanu in the 34th minute of play. Galo van Basten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lucrețiu Sfetcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galo van Basten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ejvind Kirkemand charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ejvind Kirkemand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, one of FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Galo van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basarab Panduru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt booed when RB Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Bădiță didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Galo van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galo van Basten struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Lucrețiu Sfetcu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RB Buzău. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Costin Malcoci was substituted for Horia Chioreanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galo van Basten in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Sfetcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Galo van Basten in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucrețiu Sfetcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute, Galo van Basten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Eric Gorcea was substituted for Valer Perișoară. Eric Gorcea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Radu Barbălată tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes RB Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Moise Bădiță. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Zheng Cheng Zheng managed to get in a good position for a shot. RB Buzău's supporters rose to their feet, but Zheng Cheng Zheng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucrețiu Sfetcu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. RB Buzău's Radu Barbălată proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save RB Buzău from getting a goal against them. With his leg Radu Barbălată managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Adrian Nasta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lucrețiu Sfetcu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Galo van Basten went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the game, Eric Gorcea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Radu Barbălată was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
