The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Joga Hem FC got a freekick which was hit by Hong Yao Peng. In the 3rd minute of the match Iakovos Efthimiadis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pete Luna skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 6th minute of play forced Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper Pete Luna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 7th minute of play forced Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper Pete Luna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Bâru in the 9th minute of play forced Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper Pete Luna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scarafia Ghost made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Hong Yao Peng sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Amorebieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pete Luna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Pete Luna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Evert Lenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pete Luna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Amorebieta in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute Fernando Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Luna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Luna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Joga Hem FC's Urban Wennerquist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Scarafia Ghost narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urban Wennerquist in the 53rd minute of play. Scarafia Ghost stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urban Wennerquist's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urban Wennerquist in the 57th minute of the match. Panos Kaklamanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Luna having to interfere. Joga Hem FC's Bennvar Byth was substituted for Charles da Silva. Joga Hem FC made a substitution. David Israel Blue replaced Evert Lenberg. 62 minutes into the match, Joga Hem FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Amorebieta came free, but Pete Luna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iakovos Efthimiadis in the 63rd minute of play forced Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper Pete Luna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Luna made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Cássio Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. David Israel Blue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pete Luna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 74th minute. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patric Berglund in the 78th minute of play. David Israel Blue took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scarafia Ghost. Scarafia Ghost dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Cássio Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Go Ahead Eagles's Cássio Gonçalves has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when David Israel Blue came free, but Scarafia Ghost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Israel Blue in the 90th minute of play. Pete Luna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erling Lewandowski's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Scarafia Ghost came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Joga Hem FC's David Israel Blue. But to his dismay, David Israel Blue quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Go Ahead Eagles players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Joga Hem FC.
