The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Tucunuco AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Aaron Herauso hit a great ball. Honorio Inguma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Gigi Cuculeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Cornurile UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Banciu to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute of the match Sorin Banciu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Ongile skillfully saved the ball. Justo Faron charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Faron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cornurile UFC booed when Tucunuco AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Faron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Negrițoiu in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Tucunuco AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Justo Faron hit a great ball. Iacob Grindeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Ongile having to interfere. Cornurile UFC's Gigi Cuculeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Gaur in the 31st minute of play. Irinel Negrițoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Ongile having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Cornurile UFC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Capătă. A collision led to Cornurile UFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Edgar Sima hit a great ball. In the 41st minute of the match Aaron Herauso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigi Cuculeanu skillfully saved the ball. Justo Faron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Cuculeanu having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Cornurile UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Gaur came free, but Gigi Cuculeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Irinel Negrițoiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Gaur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gigi Cuculeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Cornurile UFC got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Encioiu. Iacob Grindeanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Aaron Ongile skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Irinel Negrițoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aaron Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iacob Grindeanu struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Aaron Ongile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornurile UFC. Gigi Cuculeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Gaur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tucunuco AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Irinel Negrițoiu 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Negrițoiu in the 91st minute of play forced Tucunuco AFC's goalkeeper Aaron Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes of play, Cornurile UFC's Iacob Grindeanu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Ongile was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th play minute Iacob Grindeanu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aaron Ongile. 1-3. The Tucunuco AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cornurile UFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cornurile UFC.
