The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Irinel Negrițoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haluk Piruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irinel Negrițoiu took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haluk Piruz. Haluk Piruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Karayazi FK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Azim Boranalp hit a great ball. Aurelian Gherghescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Vecdi Kutlay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karayazi FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Vecdi Kutlay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigi Cuculeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Azim Boranalp struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Gigi Cuculeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karayazi FK. If Aurelian Gherghescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cornurile UFC's Aurelian Gherghescu in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karayazi FK's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aşık Ulutay during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vecdi Kutlay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Haluk Piruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Gherghescu in the 54th minute of play. Edgar Sima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Haluk Piruz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. İsmet Hatırlı's late challenge caught a Cornurile UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İsmet Hatırlı helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute, Sorin Banciu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Karayazi FK's Haluk Piruz didn't even have to move. Irinel Negrițoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Aurelian Gherghescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haluk Piruz was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Gherghescu in the 63rd minute of play forced Karayazi FK's goalkeeper Haluk Piruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Aurelian Gherghescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Haluk Piruz, 0-5. Cornurile UFC's Aurelian Gherghescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 79th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cornurile UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Negrițoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute of the match Sorin Banciu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haluk Piruz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baran Demirci during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cornurile UFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
