Aşır Ergümen had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Laureano Trigueiro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. But to his dismay, Mariano Franco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Leylekspor's goalkeeper Aşır Ergümen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Ripon City's goalkeeper Ronaldo Bulhosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İnanç İlican.

When Jacinto Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ripon City's protests and gave Jacinto Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Falcão's late challenge caught a FC Leylekspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Leylekspor booed when Ripon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball.
