The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guga Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márton Herczegh in the 2nd minute of the match. Dværgetved were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Mexilhão F. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 秦剑亦 took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Dino Ursini drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper. 7 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Batistuta came free, but Guga Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Márton Herczegh notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mexilhão F. C.'s Guga Tavares. Guga Tavares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germano Pernambucano got free with Nikolai Vejtsbøl in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 24 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Kacper Jaworski. Guga Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Batistuta in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Arvin Larsson got a free kick in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Márton Herczegh came free, but Guga Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolai Vejtsbøl having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Márton Herczegh to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Guga Tavares got control of the ball when Gabriel Batistuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute Dværgetved were awarded a corner. 秦剑亦 went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Dværgetved's Nicolai Rasmer to fire away a dangerous shot which Guga Tavares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Guga Tavares stood somewhat misplaced when Nicolai Rasmer came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 54 minute. Nikolai Vejtsbøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Anaia Barba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolai Vejtsbøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Dværgetved's Nicolai Rasmer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guga Tavares. Guga Tavares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 75th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Angelsø to maneuver through the defense. Dværgetved made a substitution. Bobby Bohner replaced 秦剑亦. After a rather tough play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Tony Angelsø got a free kick in the 76th minute. Gabriel Batistuta took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Tavares. Guga Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 82nd minute, Carmichael Carbery made a precise shot to the right of Guga Tavares. Mexilhão F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. After 95 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Arthur dos Santos.
