Ryefield's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 9th minute, Heron Benson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cobus Post in the 10th minute of play forced Ryefield's goalkeeper Boyne McWill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Farrell Branson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 12 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Christiaan Kolkman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Ryefield's goalkeeper Boyne McWill had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evert van der Struijk. In the 16th minute, Ryefield's Bevin McNamee seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bevin McNamee the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ryefield protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bevin McNamee had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 17 played minutes Ryefield got a freekick which was hit by Bevin McNamee. Thanks to some nice moves Jan Luijten could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Boyne McWill however easily saved by the left post. If Farrell Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Ryefield getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Brion Quinnless hit a great ball. Farrell Branson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christiaan Kolkman having to make a save. In the 27th match minute, Ryefield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heron Benson to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert van der Struijk got free with Boyne McWill in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teris Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Christiaan Kolkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Ryefield's Farrell Branson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiaan Kolkman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Christiaan Kolkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teris Martyn in the 37th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cobus Post made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Cobus Post made a precise shot to the right of Boyne McWill. Ryefield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 56th match minute, Goorle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Raatjes to maneuver through the defense. Brion Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiaan Kolkman having to interfere. The supporters of Goorle booed when Ryefield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fergus Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Ryefield's goal looked a bit too open when Cobus Post came free, but Boyne McWill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert van der Struijk in the 64th minute of play forced Ryefield's goalkeeper Boyne McWill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
