Danny Grønnow could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Tolek Kiszkiel made a huge save. Tolek Kiszkiel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teddy Tholsted showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Børge Buhr made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Poland's Johan Kutaisov. Tolek Kiszkiel made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Andre Præstvang sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the game, Izydor Plucinik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Denmark made a substitution. Sigismund Ravnskjold replaced Teddy Tholsted. Izydor Plucinik hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Nils Elmhuus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Raschke in the 35th minute of the match. Tolek Kiszkiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Præstvang in the 36th minute of play. Tolek Kiszkiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigismund Ravnskjold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Nike Cavia came free, but Nils Elmhuus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's Nils Elmhuus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nike Cavia in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Sigismund Ravnskjold left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Nike Cavia made the kick off in the second half. Nike Cavia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils Elmhuus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes Denmark's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nike Cavia who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Poland's corner Nike Cavia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nils Elmhuus quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Andreas Maxsø hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Denmark's Andre Præstvang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tolek Kiszkiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tymoteusz Jajko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Nils Elmhuus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Michnik in the 81st minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Nils Elmhuus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Sigismund Ravnskjold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Kiszkiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 minutes Poland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paw Carbac who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Denmark's Paw Carbac to fire away a dangerous shot which Tolek Kiszkiel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Poland's Tymoteusz Jajko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils Elmhuus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute Andre Præstvang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Kiszkiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Tymoteusz Jajko came free, but Nils Elmhuus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poland's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
