FC Kolos's Valeriy Smalko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kolos from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC Kolos's Song Yao Jie got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Adrian Pettersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oldham Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kolos the free kick. A collision led to Oldham Athletic getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Adrian Pettersson hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, FC Kolos's goalkeeper Valeriy Smalko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Bäcklin. After 14th play minutes Song Yao Jie shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Mattias Pihlgren and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 17th minute, Arman Gregersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valeriy Smalko was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Song Yao Jie came free, but Mattias Pihlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Kolos fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when FC Kolos's Song Yao Jie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 26 minutes into the match, FC Kolos's goalkeeper Valeriy Smalko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Pettersson. After 27 minutes, Dmytro Kulakovskyi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kolos and the Oldham Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Oldham Athletic booed when FC Kolos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dmytro Kulakovskyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valeriy Smalko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arman Gregersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes FC Kolos got a freekick which was hit by Vsevolod Zbarakh. FC Kolos's Valeriy Smalko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arman Gregersson in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Oldham Athletic's Arman Gregersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valeriy Smalko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, FC Kolos's Ostap Fedoriv got a free kick in the 35th minute. Valeriy Smalko made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Maximilian Ryberg sent off a good shot on target. Adrian Pettersson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valeriy Smalko firmly grabbed it by the left post. Maximilian Ryberg made a great header on Oldham Athletic's corner, it was just that FC Kolos's Valeriy Smalko managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
Mattias Pihlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Symon Glushko, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With an all-out effort, FC Kolos's Mattias Pihlgren threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Symon Glushko, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner ended in Symon Udych almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Oldham Athletic's Mattias Pihlgren did a great save. With a little luck, Oldham Athletic's Mattias Pihlgren got control of the ball when Gavrylo Bobal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mattias Pihlgren made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Song Yao Jie sent off a good shot on target. Song Yao Jie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Mattias Pihlgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Pettersson in the 71st minute of play forced FC Kolos's goalkeeper Valeriy Smalko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's Adrian Pettersson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valeriy Smalko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Oscar Bäcklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oldham Athletic made a substitution. Ingvar Bollström replaced Adrian Pettersson. After 76 played minutes Oldham Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Bäcklin. The audience was convinced that Arman Gregersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valeriy Smalko was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the game, Oscar Bäcklin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Valeriy Smalko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximilian Ryberg kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Symon Udych, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Symon Glushko came free, but Mattias Pihlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Kolos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
