The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Norberto Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loures's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marciano Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abílio Mesquita in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Cesario in the 14th minute of play forced Loures's goalkeeper Nicolas Vilalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Tallia hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Abílio Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Blanco having to interfere. Nicolas Vilalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Cesario in the 20th minute of play. Marciano Blanco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abílio Mesquita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. Abílio Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marciano Blanco having to make a save. Nicolas Vilalobos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Cesario's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. If Abílio Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Deportivo Pucho getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tomás Checa hit a great ball. Loures's Nicolas Vilalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Brion in the 34th minute of play. Marciano Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abílio Mesquita in the 38th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Loures got a freekick which was hit by Hermes Amaro. When Tomás Checa came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Deportivo Pucho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Checa couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Checa to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Deportivo Pucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Tallia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pucho's zone, Emílio Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marciano Blanco came out of the goal and Emílio Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Abílio Mesquita made a precise shot to the right of Marciano Blanco. Deportivo Pucho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Norberto Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loures's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Blanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benicio Librado hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Marciano Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Norberto Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loures's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raul Brion's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Nicolas Vilalobos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Abílio Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Marciano Blanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loures. Marciano Blanco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norberto Barbosa went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute, Loures's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Raul Brion fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Abílio Mesquita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marciano Blanco was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Abílio Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Deportivo Pucho made a substitution. Desiderio Ermengol replaced Roman Lehior. Loures's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
