Spectators: 7458 (Terracing: 5594, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) Deportivo Pucho's Marciano Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arman Gregersson in the 6th minute of play. Mattias Pihlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Checa in the 11th minute of the match. Zeledon Cesario might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Pihlgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Cesario ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute Deportivo Pucho were awarded a corner. Tomás Checa went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Oldham Athletic's Björn Svanström got a free kick in the 24th minute. Marciano Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Pettersson in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Adrian Pettersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oldham Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 40thth minute of the game Adrian Pettersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Pucho's Marciano Blanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrian Pettersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Zeledon Cesario fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mattias Pihlgren, passed just outside the right post. If Tomás Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mattias Pihlgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Checa went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Checa made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Arman Gregersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leif Vedholm kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeledon Cesario in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mattias Pihlgren saved Oldham Athletic from getting behind. The supporters of Deportivo Pucho booed when Oldham Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Svanström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattias Pihlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Cesario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Tomás Checa put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mattias Pihlgren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Svanberg in the 66th minute of play forced Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Marciano Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Adrian Pettersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Marciano Blanco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oldham Athletic made a substitution. Ingvar Bollström replaced Adrian Pettersson. Mattias Pihlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Checa in the 78th minute of the match. Mattias Pihlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Harry Svanberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marciano Blanco, 2-4. Harry Svanberg charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harry Svanberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Harry Svanberg hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91stth minute of the game Zeledon Cesario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oldham Athletic's Mattias Pihlgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Raul Brion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pucho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Brion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mattias Pihlgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeledon Cesario went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Oldham Athletic walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
