Ruy Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åke Månsson in the 39th minute of the match. If Gunnar Vassenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Digital Monsterz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Vassenius to maneuver through the defense. The Digital Monsterz FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Papunhas EC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Åke Månsson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Vassenius came free, but Ruy Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Papunhas EC defense, Gunnar Vassenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Oliveira. The Papunhas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Oliveira should have stopped the shot. Digital Monsterz FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
