Pedrão Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Agusoaei in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match FC Politehnica Timisoara got a corner. Vista Alegre FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eric Udup ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eric Udup made a great header on FC Politehnica Timisoara's corner, it was just that Vista Alegre FC's Pedrão Sarmento managed to reach the ball for a save. Pedrão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Strugure in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Cezar Agusoaei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cezar Agusoaei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vista Alegre FC's Ediberto Abraão got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Eric Udup fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Politehnica Timisoara's protests and gave Eric Udup a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Eric Udup hit a great ball. Tiberiu Mischie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernest Eftimescu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Ernest Eftimescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Tiberiu Mischie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Costică Josan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 74th minute, Osvaldo Negri made a precise shot to the right of Tiberiu Mischie. FC Politehnica Timisoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eric Udup could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Pedrão Sarmento made a huge save. The supporters of Vista Alegre FC booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position.
