João Paulo Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Papunhas EC's zone, Norberto de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Papunhas EC's Ruy Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto de Azevedo in the 89th minute of play. Pedrão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Prestes in the 92nd minute of the match. Pedrão Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Moraes in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Osvaldo Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vista Alegre FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruy Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
