Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Norberto de Azevedo made the kick off and thus started the match. Vista Alegre FC's Pedrão Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Hess in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Vista Alegre FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Paulo Renato Dracena hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Brooklyn SC's Titus Pierson tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Vista Alegre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos França to maneuver through the defense. Richard Roma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute Osvaldo Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Bucket saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charlie Bucket was a little too slow when Norberto de Azevedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto de Azevedo in the 43rd minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Charlie Bucket to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlie Bucket had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Norberto de Azevedo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henry Sugar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Vista Alegre FC booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Titus Pierson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vista Alegre FC's Osvaldo Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vista Alegre FC's Flávio Montenegro got a free kick in the 54th minute. The throw-in from Antônio Carlos Vander in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Brooklyn SC's Henry Sugar. In the 60th minute Henry Sugar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes in the game Flávio Montenegro did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Antônio Carlos Vander. Pedrão Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Hess in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vista Alegre FC's Jonathan Trigo got a free kick in the 64th minute. Brooklyn SC's Charlie Bucket played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Negri in the 67th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Brooklyn SC got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Pace. Brooklyn SC's Henry Sugar got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Vista Alegre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos França to maneuver through the defense. Pedrão Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Sugar, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Pedrão Sarmento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henry Sugar went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when Vista Alegre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Hess sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Brooklyn SC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
