The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when João Paulo Ribeiro put in a rough tackle. 14 minutes into the match, Compostela FSCMZ's Jefferson Sousa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Papunhas EC's Ruy Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Baiano in the 16th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Oswaldo Trancoso took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ruy Oliveira to make any attempt to save it. David Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Lúcio Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruy Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Dantas in the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Lúcio Dantas could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Ruy Oliveira however easily saved by the left post. Papunhas EC's Ruy Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Trancoso in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Kaká Cardoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruy Oliveira. Kaká Cardoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Compostela FSCMZ's Lúcio Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim da Fonseca. Joaquim da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Baiano came free, but Ruy Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
