The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Hoffmann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Ruy Oliveira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Cristian Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pendotiba's Cristian Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Papunhas EC's Ruy Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Hoffmann in the 31st minute of play. Pendotiba were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Papunhas EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardinho Trigo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Valdo da Costa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruy Oliveira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Pendotiba's Valdo da Costa got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Cristian Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Pendotiba got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Hermes. Naldo Hermes's late challenge caught a Papunhas EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Hermes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pendotiba getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Naldo Hermes hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Cristian Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. When Artur do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papunhas EC's protests and gave Artur do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Laércio Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pendotiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papunhas EC the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Hoffmann in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruy Oliveira saved Papunhas EC from getting behind. Ruy Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Hoffmann's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Ruy Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Cristian Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ruy Oliveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ruy Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Hermes in the 67th minute of play. After 67th play minutes Cristian Hoffmann shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Ruy Oliveira and just under the crossbar into goal. 72 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pendotiba's Cristian Hoffmann fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Pendotiba's goalkeeper Kuno Heiberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurinho Prestes. Cristian Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruy Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Cristian Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Oliveira having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Frédson Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pendotiba had played much better football throughout.
