The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Geležinis Vilkas were awarded a corner. Algitas Sadauskas went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Justinas Paliūnas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidmantas Bieliauskas in the 6th minute of play forced FC Torpedo Dabrowa's goalkeeper Czeslaw Cichewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Danas Niauronis sped through FC Torpedo Dabrowa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Czeslaw Cichewski. Ulryk Dylla's late challenge caught a Geležinis Vilkas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulryk Dylla helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes FC Torpedo Dabrowa got a freekick which was hit by Ulryk Dylla. Czeslaw Cichewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danas Niauronis in the 15th minute of play. Czeslaw Cichewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupertas Laurinavičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Justinas Paliūnas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geležinis Vilkas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Torpedo Dabrowa the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justinas Paliūnas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Lucjan Rekawiczka managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Torpedo Dabrowa's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucjan Rekawiczka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juozas Zelmikas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ignacy Bugno kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Vidmantas Bieliauskas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Czeslaw Cichewski. FC Torpedo Dabrowa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Juozas Zelmikas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Falke. In the 28th minute, Kryspin Wincek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Torpedo Dabrowa's Norbert Hajder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juozas Zelmikas. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. In the 39th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jogaila Jameikis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupertas Laurinavičius in the 44th minute of play forced FC Torpedo Dabrowa's goalkeeper Czeslaw Cichewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Rupertas Laurinavičius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Czeslaw Cichewski. FC Torpedo Dabrowa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rupertas Laurinavičius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacy Bugno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sylwester Siekierski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Juozas Zelmikas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Torpedo Dabrowa's Czeslaw Cichewski got control of the ball when Rupertas Laurinavičius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rupertas Laurinavičius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Czeslaw Cichewski made a huge save. After some careless play in the Geležinis Vilkas defense, Ignacy Bugno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juozas Zelmikas. The Geležinis Vilkas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juozas Zelmikas should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacy Bugno in the 82nd minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Juozas Zelmikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Danas Niauronis made a precise shot to the right of Czeslaw Cichewski. FC Torpedo Dabrowa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Lucjan Rekawiczka scored 4-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juozas Zelmikas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
