Edgard Bastos charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Bastos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgard Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ludomil Rydzyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Edgard Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ☢℗a®Ⅰs ＄₳i₦t-₲€®₥₳i₦☣'s Ludomil Rydzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Bastos in the 31st minute of play. Edgard Bastos took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludomil Rydzyk. Ludomil Rydzyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When Patryk Olejarz came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the ☢℗a®Ⅰs ＄₳i₦t-₲€®₥₳i₦☣ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patryk Olejarz couldn't finish the play. After 43 minutes, Dagoberto Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmeiras and the ☢℗a®Ⅰs ＄₳i₦t-₲€®₥₳i₦☣ players grew even worse after the yellow card.

Carlos Augusto Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliks Pyrtek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Soares in the 67th minute of play forced ☢℗a®Ⅰs ＄₳i₦t-₲€®₥₳i₦☣'s goalkeeper Ludomil Rydzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Patryk Olejarz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ☢℗a®Ⅰs ＄₳i₦t-₲€®₥₳i₦☣'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Patryk Olejarz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when ☢℗a®Ⅰs ＄₳i₦t-₲€®₥₳i₦☣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tymoteusz Pilarczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Palmeiras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Palmeiras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
