An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarolím Jäger in the 9th minute of play forced Ajax's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's Pavel Veleba got a free kick in the 11th minute. Ajax were furious when Wojciech Mietus was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 13 minutes into the game, one of Ajax:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ajax:s Gigi Buffon showed great skill when he stopped Hồ Vado:s penalty. Hồ Vado took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigi Buffon. Gigi Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarolím Jäger in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigi Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarolím Jäger, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Pavel Veleba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigi Buffon came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's Jarolím Jäger. But to his dismay, Jarolím Jäger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ajax's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by František Krejčí in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's František Krejčí made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigi Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nic Nedal made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Wieslaw Cerocki sent off a good shot on target. Gigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from František Balog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigi Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarolím Jäger's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wieslaw Cerocki was the one to do the kick off. Jarolím Jäger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Gigi Buffon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Lukavský got free with Gigi Buffon in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarolím Jäger in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Veleba in the 65th minute of play forced Ajax's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarolím Jäger in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute František Krejčí shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Roman Lukavský could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Gigi Buffon however easily saved by the left post. Gigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Jarolím Jäger sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute František Krejčí shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's František Krejčí in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ajax's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th match minute, Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacek Kieca to maneuver through the defense. Gigi Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by František Balog in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Ajax's Tytus Dudek got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's František Krejčí dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 89th minute Jaroslav Rafaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ajax fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
