In the 10th match minute, União Agrícola Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, União Agrícola Barbarense's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Casanande came free, but Jarbas Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cafu Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 14 played minutes Barcelona de América got a freekick which was hit by Jesús Trindade. A collision led to União Agrícola Barbarense getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Carlos Alberto de Salles hit a great ball. With a little luck, União Agrícola Barbarense's Jarbas Marques got control of the ball when Pancho Leceta tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calderón Palazuelos in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Marques saved União Agrícola Barbarense from getting behind. After 29 minutes União Agrícola Barbarense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Félix Torres who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Félix Torres got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jarbas Marques quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jarbas Marques made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Pancho Leceta sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimir Valadares during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Barcelona de América booed when União Agrícola Barbarense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Pancho Leceta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarbas Marques was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Jarbas Marques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pancho Leceta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barcelona de América's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
