In the 3rd minute, Johny Godefroid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wannes De Tapp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Szymon Gorzkiewicz went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Invictus FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gürel Toktimur hit a great ball. Wannes De Tapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szymon Gorzkiewicz in the 25th minute of play. Johny Godefroid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Olchawa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Invictus FC were awarded a corner. Cedric Van Den Bosche went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Anthoon Borginions managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Qian Yu Ao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Roch Olchawa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Szymon Gorzkiewicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wannes De Tapp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 47th minute Johny Godefroid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Olchawa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Szymon Gorzkiewicz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 52 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Wannes De Tapp was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Roch Olchawa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johny Godefroid, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ACR SA's zone, Johny Godefroid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Olchawa came out of the goal and Johny Godefroid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A throw-in in the 67th minute of the game was made by Kuddusî Tozan with Ibrahim Lebouvier as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Roch Olchawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johny Godefroid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roch Olchawa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johny Godefroid, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Invictus FC's Johny Godefroid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roch Olchawa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kajetan Chwalkiewicz's late challenge caught a Invictus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kajetan Chwalkiewicz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Invictus FC booed when ACR SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Chwalkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Szymon Gorzkiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wannes De Tapp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Invictus FC's Johny Godefroid nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roch Olchawa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johny Godefroid during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ACR SA booed when Invictus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johny Godefroid didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Invictus FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
