In the 21st minute Javier Landeras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Long saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Barcelona de América's Fabio Marines got control of the ball when Vicente Balesio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ahmed Long showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pancho Leceta in the 25th minute of the match. CF Scalonetos were furious when Jonatan Ieltxu was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 28 minutes into the game, one of CF Scalonetos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ahmed Long went to the wrong direction when Calderón Palazuelos was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Abajas in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Marines saved Barcelona de América from getting behind. Pancho Leceta scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmed Long, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucio Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Marines having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, CF Scalonetos's Lucio Abajas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Marines narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Abajas to make the kick off. Barcelona de América's Fabio Marines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Abajas in the 53rd minute of play.
