When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Precioso in the 51st minute of play. Armando Polidori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Precioso's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Caricancha's Leandro Eufemio got a free kick in the 60th minute. Ennio De Nardis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Llorenc having to interfere.
