Pablo Elequemedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Bidun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Tano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonzalo Calcini went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the game, Guido Solustiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Lanus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Firmat Foot Ball Club the free kick. In the 35th minute Rosendo Luar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Tano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgilio Lauro got free with Rafael Tano in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
