Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the game, one of Alvi Boton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nereo Diaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Jurgi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Club Atletico Lanus got a corner. Alvi Boton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guaberto Bidun ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Alejo Bastia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Nereo Jurgi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nereo Diaz's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Alvi Boton's Sixto Hug got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Nereo Jurgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Bidun in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Nereo Diaz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Alvi Boton's Nereo Jurgi. Nereo Jurgi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Alvi Boton players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atletico Lanus were winning 0-2.

In the 95thth minute of the game Pastor Celipe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Lanus's Rafael Tano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atletico Lanus walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
