Gino Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mátyás Andrássy in the 3rd minute. Endre Kozma kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, TUSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Endre Kozma to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of TUSE booed when Bezerros EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gino Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mátyás Andrássy, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, András Szaniszló managed to get in a good position for a shot. TUSE's supporters rose to their feet, but András Szaniszló was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gino Brito made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Endre Kozma sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute TUSE were awarded a corner. Zoltán Földi went to the cornerflag to take it. Zoltán Földi made a great header on TUSE's corner, it was just that Bezerros EC's Gino Brito managed to reach the ball for a save. Luiz Quadros made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by TUSE's Miloš Kerkez. TUSE's Zoltán Földi got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. András Szaniszló scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gino Brito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. András Szaniszló might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gino Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. András Szaniszló ran back to his position shaking his head. András Szaniszló took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gino Brito. Gino Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Zoltán Földi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Gino Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mátyás Andrássy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gino Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from András Szaniszló in the 93rd minute of play. Konstantin Kondor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Brito having to interfere.
