The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Virgílio Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Narciso Ignatius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Aracatiara EC got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Melo. After 35 minutes of play, San Lorenzo's Mario Cordario made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narciso Ignatius was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Toro in the 37th minute of play forced Aracatiara EC's goalkeeper Narciso Ignatius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Tabor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Ignatius came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo's Blas Osoro. But to his dismay, Blas Osoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Narciso Ignatius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mabrouk Dolar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. San Lorenzo's Celestino Toro got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celestino Toro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Mabrouk Dolar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Lorenzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. In the 57th minute, one of Aracatiara EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aracatiara EC. Aracatiara EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Blas Osoro scored to the left of an out of position Narciso Ignatius, making the score, 0-10. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Blas Osoro took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Narciso Ignatius to make any attempt to save it. After 72 minutes, Mario Cordario made it 0-12 with a short kick to the right side. Aracatiara EC's Narciso Ignatius tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Narciso Ignatius stood somewhat misplaced when Celestino Toro came free in front of goal and shot 0-13 to the left of him in the 75 minute. Aracatiara EC's Narciso Ignatius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Osoro in the 86th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Delmiro Tabor took a quick shot and it went in 0-15 without a chance for Narciso Ignatius to make any attempt to save it. 98 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Cavalcante came free, but Donato Azeari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. San Lorenzo played a much better game than Aracatiara EC and deserved their victory. The Aracatiara EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
