Spectators: 7509 (Terracing: 5632, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlos Eduardo Alagoano kicked off to start the match. VILLARREAL UNITED's Tome Campoamor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei de Alcântara in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes VILLARREAL UNITED's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adhemar Hermes who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on WAU team's corner Laércio da Costa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tome Campoamor quite easily take care of the ball. VILLARREAL UNITED's Isidoro Mangas got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute Rafa de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tome Campoamor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carlos Eduardo Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tome Campoamor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. WAU team were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after VILLARREAL UNITED's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adhemar Hermes took the corner. In the 38th minute, Claudinei de Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Alagoano came free, but Tome Campoamor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute Isidoro Mangas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei de Alcântara in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tome Campoamor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnalt Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th match minute, WAU team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iyan Flores in the 68th minute of play forced WAU team's goalkeeper Dráusio Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tome Campoamor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of VILLARREAL UNITED booed when WAU team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zadornin Silva's late challenge caught a WAU team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zadornin Silva helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes VILLARREAL UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Zadornin Silva. When Claudinei de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the WAU team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched WAU team eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
