Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) In the 5th minute Nelsinho Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes WAU team got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Novaes. Nico Cunha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Curiphila Eagles's Caco Rosa got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Carlos Eduardo Alagoano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murilo Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Claudinei de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murilo Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of WAU team booed when Curiphila Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Carlos Eduardo Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. WAU team's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Eduardo Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murilo Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafa de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Téo Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dráusio Siqueira made a huge save. After a rather tough play, WAU team's Rafa de Barros got a free kick in the 29th minute. Murilo Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Alagoano in the 33rd minute of play. Jorginho Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Dráusio Siqueira had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Nico Cunha's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 41st minute, Rafa de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nico Cunha during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Curiphila Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Cunha to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Rony de Andrade came free, but Murilo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Curiphila Eagles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adhemar Hermes was slow to take the kick. During this time WAU team's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Adhemar Hermes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Murilo Paiva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half WAU team were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dráusio Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Clóvis Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Curiphila Eagles defense, Carlos Eduardo Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murilo Paiva. The Curiphila Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murilo Paiva should have stopped the shot. Murilo Paiva was a little too slow when Claudinei de Alcântara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-4. The audience was convinced that Nelsinho Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráusio Siqueira was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Nelsinho Bastos put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dráusio Siqueira. 2-5 became the score in the 74th minute when Carlos Eduardo Alagoano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Murilo Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Claudinei de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When WAU team's Claudinei de Alcântara in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curiphila Eagles's goalie prevented a goal. 88 minutes into the game, WAU team's Rafa de Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Murilo Paiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelsinho Bastos in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráusio Siqueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The WAU team supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing WAU team would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
