Khalefa Al Hadad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Cordarin having to interfere. Mohammad Al Ateqi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Terra in the 13th minute of the match. Generoso Cordarin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saif Abo Al Hasan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdo Varela was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, one of Inacio F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Inacio F.C.. Yaqoub Bo Resley shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 43rd match minute, Inacio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Costa to maneuver through the defense. Inacio F.C.'s Generoso Cordarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saif Abo Al Hasan in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Inacio F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Laerte Cardozo hit a great ball. The supporters of Inacio F.C. booed when Golden Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sayer Al Besher didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelo Terra to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Marcelo Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inacio F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Laerte Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Golden Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inacio F.C. the free kick. After 67 played minutes Golden Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Rida Al Hajri. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Tigers's zone, Laerte Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammad Al Ateqi came out of the goal and Laerte Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Generoso Cordarin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khalefa Al Hadad in the 71st minute. 76 minutes into the game, Rubens Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inacio F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Tigers the free kick. A collision led to Inacio F.C. getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rubens Martins hit a great ball. Yaqoub Bo Resley, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Generoso Cordarin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Yaqoub Bo Resley. In the 81st minute, Jorginho Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Yaqoub Bo Resley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelo Terra hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Golden Tigers's Khalefa Al Hadad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Generoso Cordarin. Generoso Cordarin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. In the 94th minute, Khalefa Al Hadad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. Golden Tigers's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
