When Dionisio Bastia came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Timo! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Bastia couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Perutxo in the 11th minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Luis Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Dionisio Bastia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Timo!'s goal looked a bit too open when Don Cabezon came free, but Luis Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Orihuela Club de Fútbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Zubiaga to maneuver through the defense. Desiderio Perutxo scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis Selatse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Don Cabezon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Selatse was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Joey Molina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Orihuela Club de Fútbol from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Timo!'s goalkeeper Luis Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Joey Molina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Orihuela Club de Fútbol from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desiderio Perutxo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Perutxo in the 51st minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Luis Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orihuela Club de Fútbol were furious when Romo Briso was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 53rd match minute, Orihuela Club de Fútbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romo Briso to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Timo!'s zone, Don Cabezon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Selatse came out of the goal and Don Cabezon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute Don Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustino Arano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joey Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Ilixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abrahan Avila struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Luis Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orihuela Club de Fútbol. Joey Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Arano in the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Don Cabezon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Cabezon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute Dionisio Bastia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Timo! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Indartsu to maneuver through the defense. When Don Cabezon, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 77 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Luis Selatse was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Joey Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Bastia in the 79th minute of play. Dionisio Bastia might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joey Molina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dionisio Bastia ran back to his position shaking his head. Dionisio Bastia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joey Molina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Cabezon got free with Luis Selatse in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Timo! fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Orihuela Club de Fútbol were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
