The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 15 minutes, Walter Benjamin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tarrasque Voador F.C. and the Blumenau Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Walter Benjamin hit a great ball. Alexandre Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Gerber in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Délio Gerber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Trevisan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 37th match minute, Tarrasque Voador F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexandre Trevisan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Raphael Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Cardoso in the 84th minute of play. Alexandre Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Reynaldo Arantes sent off a good shot on target. Christiano Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Furlan having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Gil Paraíba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarrasque Voador F.C. the free kick. Alexandre Trevisan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Délio Gerber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 97 minute of play. When the match was over Blumenau Esporte Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tarrasque Voador F.C. throughout the match.
