In the 23rd minute of the match Gert Tholsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raphael Furlan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Cheetah Team's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Délio Gerber fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bengt Ånger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Délio Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raphael Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Berggren, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Donato Mazza hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After having played for 40 minutes, David Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheetah Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Berggren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Arantes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bengt Ånger firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 43rd minute, Dan Lundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrik Holm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. David Berggren hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Flávio Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Tiago Dionísio in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cheetah Team's Tim Askberg. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when Cheetah Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Flávio Meireles made a precise shot to the right of Bengt Ånger. Cheetah Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Blumenau Esporte Clube had played much better football throughout.
