Cheetah Team's Tim Askberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Saturnino Gau in the 6 minute of the game. Iwo Trzaskoma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tord Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Saturnino Gau fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RIQUELME FC's protests and gave Saturnino Gau a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, RIQUELME FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Gau to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Tord Jakobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwo Trzaskoma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt Ånger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Ferdinand showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match, Alberto Ferdinand tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bengt Ånger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mark Malmberg was the one to do the kick off. Cheetah Team's Bengt Ånger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Ferdinand in the 56th minute of play. After 70 minutes, Alberto Ferdinand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIQUELME FC and the Cheetah Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, RIQUELME FC's Alberto Ferdinand got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Mark Malmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Åke Drake during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of RIQUELME FC booed when Cheetah Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Åke Drake didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cheetah Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saturnino Gau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. There was no doubt that RIQUELME FC were the better team. RIQUELME FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
