The crowd rose to their feet as Cornelio Ongile kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jens-Ola Lund. That made the score 1-3 in the 87 minute of play. Jens-Ola Lund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Cornelio Ongile suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 92 minutes into the game, Robert Bugajski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Skates's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zurdo FC the free kick. The Skates's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The Zurdo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zurdo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
