Dario Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Fanta in the 10th minute of play. Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Gerbella in the 13th minute of play. When Spartans FC's Amado Fanta in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 19th minute, Efraín Ruiz Tagle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dario Gutierrez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Cascadia United's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Gerbella came free, but Dario Gutierrez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Gutierrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Gerbella, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Francisco José Vidal sped through Cascadia United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dario Gutierrez. Dario Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Fanta in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Cascadia United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Ellande to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Toro hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Dario Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Fanta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Gutierrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Fanta in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Spartans FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Lauro to make the kick off. A collision led to Cascadia United getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Efrain Ramos hit a great ball. Marcelo De la Maza scored 0-4 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dario Gutierrez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabio Gerbella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejo Bihar hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Cascadia United from getting a goal against them. Dario Gutierrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Fanta in the 68th minute of the match. Isaac Montxo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nelson Tapia. Spartans FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez got control of the ball when Amado Fanta tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efraín Ruiz Tagle in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Gutierrez saved Cascadia United from getting behind. Dario Gutierrez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Gerbella's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The Cascadia United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Spartans FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
