Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago Luzano ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Calixto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Luzano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Road To Glory's Hipolito Foro got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute, one of Road To Glory:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Road To Glory. Road To Glory:s Tomás Calixto showed great skill when he stopped Manex Pajazo:s penalty. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Road To Glory's goalkeeper Tomás Calixto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match Club Dep. Soc. Rodo got a corner. Road To Glory's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manex Pajazo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leonardo Gaspard got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jonathan Beltran. 30 minutes into the game, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Santiago Luzano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Calixto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 36th minute, Santiago Luzano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Calixto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Tomás Calixto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidensio Cimas, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Santiago Luzano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Calixto having to make a save. Road To Glory's Tomás Calixto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Luzano in the 46th minute of play. The Road To Glory players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Tonio to make the kick off. Santiago Luzano hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Club Dep. Soc. Rodo, in the 63rd minute, was rewarded a free kick, Santiago Luzano went for the shot and managed to fire it away just outside the right post. An excellent chance for a goal! After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Santiago Luzano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Luzano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Calixto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leandro Tubia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tomás Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Road To Glory's Leonardo Gaspard got a free kick in the 71st minute. Santiago Luzano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Calixto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Santiago Luzano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tomás Calixto, 0-3. If Santiago Luzano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Luzano got free with Tomás Calixto in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the game, Santiago Luzano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomás Calixto. Santiago Luzano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
