Nestor Ongile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oswaldo Godoi went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Black Sails booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dito Donatello hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Godoi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Black Sails's Nestor Ongile. Nestor Ongile was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. João Vítor de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulino Mendebal's late challenge caught a SE Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Mendebal helped the player get up and apologised. If João Vítor de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Black Sails got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Mendebal. The Black Sails players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SE Palmeiras were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Oswaldo Godoi made the kick off in the second half. Oswaldo Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nestor Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, João Vítor de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Egun in the 71st minute of the match. Christiano Baianos short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Nestor Ongile to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Christiano Baiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nestor Ongile. That made the score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Berriotxoa in the 79th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Muralhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Berriotxoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Narciso Egun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Will Muralhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Millan in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Rodrigo Berriotxoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SE Palmeiras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SE Palmeiras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
