After 12 played minutes Guiñazú FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Licerio. After some careless play in the Guiñazú FC defense, Mathieu Roland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Gaizko. The Guiñazú FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Gaizko should have stopped the shot. Vladimiro Gaizko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamar Walls in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gilles Russell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimiro Gaizko was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After 20 played minutes Guiñazú FC got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Su. After 23 minutes, Gilles Russell made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Fly T.T were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Guiñazú FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcellin Chaloux took the corner. Benito Thomas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lamar Walls sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimiro Gaizko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilles Russell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Guiñazú FC's zone, Mathieu Roland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Gaizko came out of the goal and Mathieu Roland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lamar Walls sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benito Thomas made a kick off. Mathieu Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Fly T.T played a much better game than Guiñazú FC and deserved their victory. The Guiñazú FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
