Rigoberto Quintin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Ekain Esperta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of C.A. Identidad Soberana booed when PreservemospolladeaguaFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaizkine Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Eneas in the 24th minute of play forced PreservemospolladeaguaFC's goalkeeper Esteve Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, C.A. Identidad Soberana's Rigoberto Quintin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteve Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.A. Identidad Soberana's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jeronimo Guipuzkoa in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Gaizkine Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PreservemospolladeaguaFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Identidad Soberana the free kick. A collision led to PreservemospolladeaguaFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gaizkine Marquez hit a great ball. The supporters of C.A. Identidad Soberana booed when PreservemospolladeaguaFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eladio Galego didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cornelio Eneas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Dean during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes PreservemospolladeaguaFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Dean. Cornelio Eneas might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornelio Eneas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in PreservemospolladeaguaFC's zone, Rigoberto Quintin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Silva came out of the goal and Rigoberto Quintin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Cornelio Eneas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornelio Eneas in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Silva saved PreservemospolladeaguaFC from getting behind. In the 79th match minute, PreservemospolladeaguaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Poncio Gala to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Eneas in the 81st minute of the match. After some careless play in the C.A. Identidad Soberana defense, Baltasar Verges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Lucian. The C.A. Identidad Soberana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Lucian should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, C.A. Identidad Soberana's Esteve Silva threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cornelio Eneas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 96th minute, Ekain Esperta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PreservemospolladeaguaFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, PreservemospolladeaguaFC could leave the field as winners, despite C.A. Identidad Soberana having more of the ball for most of the match.
